5 things that made me happy in March

Another month has flown by and I can officially say ‘I GET MARRIED THIS MONTH!’

March was a bit of a whirlwind; works been super busy and wedmin has been off the charts. Throw in a hen weekend and yep – it went quicker than the blink of an eye.

Which leads me on to my first thing that made me happy last month.

My Hen Party

If you didn’t see my write up of the weekend, you can read that here, but it was such good fun being away with my girls for a weekend; drinking gin, getting dolled up and tackling inflatable obstacles in the snow!

The girls all did a fantastic job to ‘Kiss The Miss Goodbye’ and I’m super excited to be able to have then all together again at the wedding where we can dance the night away just like that snowy Saturday night in Manchester.

I signed a new contract

I had an offer I just couldn’t refuse from another major fashion retailer that I can’t wait to start working with. I can’t say much just yet but having only just started writing about fashion, I feel incredibly lucky to have these opportunities. It always makes me feel like I’m doing something worthwhile and my writing is good enough for brands to want me to do it for them.

Keep your eyes out for the big reveal coming soon!

I found my perfect lip shade

Well actually, Emma found it for me, sort of. She used on of the Huda Beauty Matte Liquid Lipsticks on me for my hen party makeup and I loved it so scoured the internet and bought the set of four minis for myself.

I’ve fallen in love with the shade Wifey. This wasn’t the one Emma used (although I bloody love that shade too!) But it’s amazing and my new favourite. I’m planning on wearing it on the big day – and how apt that it’s called wifey?!

I added some new books to my collection

Still haven’t finished *ahem* started the other ones I bought but you can never have too many amirite? I purchased the instafamous Lily Pebbles F Word and a book I’ve been seeing everywhere; Emily Oliphant Is Completely Fine – I don’t know that she is yet but I’ll keep you posted!

We finally escaped an escape room!

The almost mother-in-law was celebrating a big birthday last month so me, Ben and his brother took her out for the evening to Logiclock in Nottingham. We took part in tying to escape the Pirate Room and with a minute to spare, the final door opened and we were outta there!

You’ll be able to guess what will be making me happy in the next installment of this kind of post… Cue lots of wedding and honeymoon photos!
