Sometimes, it’s really hard to think of a gift for someone, especially when you want it to be personal too. When this cute little box was waiting for me at my doorstep after a long day at work, I was overwhelmed with the short, sweet sentiment contained within.
As you may or may not know, Ben and I got engaged and I’ve been frantically planning the wedding of our my dreams on top of juggling a full time job and writing this blog, so that when I did open up this gorgeous engagement biscuit tin full of loveliness from Biscuiteers, it made it all worth it and gave me the chance to sit down with a cuppa and enjoy it. Three layers of cute little lovebirds, wedding bells and of course an engagement ring, a stunning pink floral bouquet, a love heart bearing mine and Ben’s name and that all important champagne!
Biscuiteers have recently launched an Engagement / Wedding range and the beautiful bunch sent us these personalised biscuits to celebrate our wonderful life event. Whilst they may not last a lifetime, the thought is worth every penny and I can use the tin as a keepsake box following the big day. Plus, who doesn’t love something with their name on and especially when you have one as unusual as mine, it’s hard to come by in those souvenir shops you see on the beach front.
Whilst there are pre-made boxes available to purchase online on the Biscuiteers website, you can choose particular shapes and personal interests to make those magical events such as marriages, births and general celebrations extra special. I’m thinking about getting the father-in-law the classic car biscuit tin for Christmas – perfect for someone who loves classic cars and biscuits!
The level of detail that goes into each one is phenomenal and certainly a skill that I do not have in my arsenal. From the precision piping to the complementary colouring and even adding a touch of sparkle to our fake fizz. Earlier this year, I visited the Biscuiteers workshop in Clapham Junction to give decorating a go myself… and… well… I wasn’t so good at it. I’ll be leaving it to the professionals from now on and I know I’ll never be disappointed.
Not only do they look the part, they taste the part too. A delicious recipe for both the crunchers and the dunkers to enjoy with a delightfully sweet flavoured icing too. A delectable crunch with an oh-so-soft core, a slightly gingerbread taste and a lingering sweet sensation from the decoration on top.
Why say it with flowers when you can say it with biscuits?
So, if you have any Bride-to-be’s you know or you’re heading to an engagement party, this would make for a lovely engagement gift – they even do a ‘Wedding Bells’ tin perfect for a big day gift too!
I’ve been browsing their range of tins and they really have you covered for every occasion and celebration you can think of. I know what most of my friends and family will be getting for birthday and Christmas present this year…
*A huge thank you to Bisuiteers for sending Ben and I this beautiful keepsake tin full of these delicious, hand-iced personalised biscuits. We love them and I gauruntee anyone else who experiences them will too!
