Monday 2nd October –
Monday is always a quiet one, back to work after the weekend and not a lot on at home. I spent most of the evening scouting ASOS for a high neck jumper for a blog post and of course my beloved Undateables was on – which meant snuggles with Patch.
Tuesday 3rd October –
I was working in London on Tuesday so it was an early rise to catch the train which I ended up being kicked off anyway because I had no seat reservation… annoying. The train I ended up getting back on, a stop later, a man sat just opposite me who persisted in using his plastic bag as a drum… even more annoying.
It was all made up though in the evening as Ben and I headed to The Botanist in West Bridgford fro press night to try out their food and cocktail menu.
They literally had a gin list as long as my arm too…
Wednesday 4th October –
Wednesday was spent writing up my wedding Wednesday post which also gave me another chance to ogle at my wedding dress too! The Apprentice started too so another night of TV with a pizza was on the cards!
Thursday 5th October –
My new bike got delivered which was pretty exciting. I was out during the first attempt and hadn’t had chance to reschedule delivery but they tried again anyway on the following day and basically said they wouldn’t try again and it would be sent back to the sender… erm no TNT, you will redeliver, that’s your job.
I also saw a pretty good busker out on the streets of Nottingham named Joey Marcantonio but you’ll have to watch the vlog to listen to him!
Friday 6th October –
It was crunch time – my probation review was due at work and… I passed! Woohoo! Of course, that meant drinks to celebrate and so once I got home, I quickly got changed into my beautiful red jumpsuit from Warehouse and it was out into town for tapas and tipples. We found Lost Property which is owned by the same people who brought Curious venues to Nottingham and it was just as quirky as the others.
A few cocktails turned into getting home at 2:30am…
Saturday 7th October –
I was up early with my friend Hannah and baby Leo to go and watch the husband’s participate in the Men’s Health: Survival of the Fittest obstacle run at Holme Pierre Point in Nottingham. They ended up doing it in great time at just over 1hr 38 mins. After they’d cleaned up, we headed to Gamston Lock for some much needed energy recuperation a.k.a a chicken dinner!
In the evening, we headed to Ben’s mum’s to celebrate his brother’s birthday with a curry.
I also had my face gems for Festival of Light next month delivered!
Sunday 9th October –
We decided to go on a bike ride and head somewhere for lunch so I could try out the new ride. We cycled from Beeston to West Bridgford and had a yummy Oriental tapas lunch at Yumacha then cycled home and watched TV with copious amounts of chocolate… what better way to spend a Sunday.
I also put my latest vlog together so feel free to give it a watch and as ever, like, comment, subscribe 🙂
