Monday 4th September –
Feeling a little stuffy with a cold, during my lunch break I went out on the hunt for somewhere that would sell Salmon as I really fancied it and ended up bumping into my friend (and gym buddy!) Chloe! She was on her way up past where I work as there is a bridal store nearby and was looking to book an appointment so we ended up having an impromptu lunch date together. Revolucion de Cuba cured our hunger pangs with some tasty tapas and I got my sought after salmon too.
Ben and I also watched (and finished!) the first season of Doctor Foster ahead of the new series starting which I was so excited for!
Tuesday 5th September –
I got home to a very exciting package from Debenhams containing all of these beautiful Benefit products to try out. When I received the email initially, I might have let out a little scream because not only do I love Benefit products, to be collaborating with Debenhams too is a dream for me. I’ll be writing up my blog post on these soon but just FYI the eyeshadow is incredible!
Chloe and I went to our weekly weight training class at the gym. I felt super proud that I was able to beat my PB when benching and I even upped my weight in the deadlift department.
Wednesday 6th September –
My wedding dress arrived back at the boutique which was apt because it’s always wedmin on a Wednesday. I posted my latest Wedding Wednesday blog, so that took up most of my evening. I also received my first Wedbox that I subscribed to a few weeks ago and it’s the cutest thing. I’ll be writing a review on it this week for anyone reading who is planning their wedding.
Thursday 7th September –
Another very exciting delivery but this time a personal one, the bridesmaid dresses arrived! I won’t be showing them on here as I think they are just as special as the wedding dress but oh my, are they beautiful. I am so happy with them.
I also had my fabletics order delivered too so I tried it on and for excited about trying it out in the gym. I’m really impressed with the quality and the fact I got a really nice whole set for just under £20 as an introductory offer.
Friday 8th September –
Friday… well, Friday was a little hectic at work to say the least so I ended up having a G&T afterwards, cancelling the gym class I’d booked myself on and laying on the sofa with my bunny slippers on, a blanket and Basil the Great Mouse Detective with Patch. I properly lived the high life too having had a bowl of Supernoodles for dinner as Ben was away with work… there’s no point cooking for one!
Saturday 9th September –
Saturday was quite productive in the morning and then lazy in the afternoon. I cooked one of my favourite dishes, a Cajun spiced chicken breast on ciabatta with spring onion mayo, baby gem lettuce and garlic potatoes. Had a few people ask me for the recipe when I posted it on Instagram so potentially have that coming up on the blog soon too!
Sunday 10th September –
Ben and I took a trip to Giltbrook Retail Park to pick up some new bits to revamp the house a little. I found these cute little grey drawers which motivated me to clean out my desk and make it a pretty place to work again. It definitely feels like a blogger zone now rather than a war zone!
How was your week? What did you get up to?
