A Foolproof Way of Finding Forever Friends

Friendship is one of the most important things in our lives and  Huggle  has asked me to make a list/write about what I think makes a good friend. Huggle is a social app which helps you to discover and connect with people who go to the places you go. It’s a wonderful app for making friends and meeting like-minded people. You can download it here.”

a person attached to another by feelings of affection or personal regard.

Now, I don’t have many of these kinds of friends. These are what people call ‘true friends’ nowadays but don’t get me wrong, I like it like that. These are the people that I can share my WHOLE life with; not just the life I lead on the internet. The friends who have seen me with greasy hair, yesterdays clothing with mascara under my eyes and on occasions, throwing up after a few too many cocktails after a night out. The friends who I know I could count on to put a smile on my face when its the last thing I want to do and yet they are all so different to each other and even some different to me, we have our similarities and unique quirks that make us ‘click’.

  • Attentive and Adaptable
    • Someone who is there when you need them most and knows how you need them too. The kind of person who will show up with a bottle of bubbly to celebrate or a tub of Ben & Jerry’s and a chick flick if you need a good old girly cry.
  • Unique and Interesting
    • All of my friends are different to one another but that makes them all individual and interesting in different aspects. I have one who is a huge foodie and has a very interesting job, another who loves makeup to a point I never knew existed and another who is the best person to hang out with like ever, my bubble buddy (I mean prosecco)!
  • Supportive of you and your Goals
    • I have had my fair share of toxic friends and its safe to say that I have removed that negativity from my life. If someone doesn’t support you or help motivate you to become the best version of yourself that isn’t a real friend in my opinion. I am so proud to have found such an amazing bunch of people I can call my friends now who support everything I do, who love hearing about it and honestly think ill make the millions I so want to in the future.

Of course there are the obvious ones such as trust  respect, honesty and equality but if your friends hold the above traits too, don’t ever let them go and show them the exact same back.

I value every single one of my friendships and I treasure every chance I get to spend with each of them be that a girly spa day, a catch up over coffee or a trip to London for lunch, I love the new opportunities and new places I get to experience with some of the best people in my life who make me feel cared for and happy.

I hope the people know who they are when they read this. I just want you to know, you are the best friends a girl could wish for.

I am both grateful and thankful for the social skills creating this blog has given me along with the opportunities to attend events and meet like minded friends too. Not everyone has that option and apps like Huggle are a fantastic and trusted way to find people like you, who share your interests locally to make new friends.

It was hard for me when I moved to Nottingham, I didn’t know anybody and anyone in that situation could easily meet new people with the help of Huggle πŸ™‚ Remember though to still stay safe and meet somewhere public first and not to share too much personal details before you get to know the person behind the photo!

Happy Friend Finding!
