Another year has gone by and I love nothing more than to sit down and reflect about everything I have done, everywhere I have been and everything that has happened over the past 12 months of 2015.
The biggest thing to happen to me in 2015 is without a doubt this blog. Its given me a release for when I’ve had a bad day at work. Its given me a new bunch of friends and certainly upped my social game, no more being a hermit! Its given me confidence and makes me light up when I talk about it. Its given me so many opportunities that I can never be thankful enough for and most importantly, it has given me my purpose. It has made me realise that I want to write. I want to write everything and anything and do it until my fingers drop off. It makes me happy, happier than anything has ever made me (apart from the boyfriend, the cat and family and friends of course).
2015 has certainly seen its ups and downs but I don’t want to focus on the negativity because negativity has its purpose. You cant see the stars without the darkness.
Every year, I donate money to a different charity. January 2016 will see my first donation to The Cats Protection who I signed up to at the BBC Good Food Show. Those who follow me will know I have a beautiful little cat named Patch who has stole my heart and it seemed fitting that I would help out his other feline friends. I encourage everyone to donate to charities, its so heart warming to know how big a difference you can make in the world for something so small.
On the subject of charities, I have an idea I want to act upon in terms of raising awareness for those amongst us who are unfortunately without a home. I plan on engaging with people on this in a separate post to explain more about what I want to achieve and I would love others to want to get involved, keep your eyes peeled for more on that.
I want to write a book. A children’s book for that matter and I’m going to give myself a timeline to complete it within the year. I’ve started putting pen to paper but its a lot harder trying to write a book than blogging!
The usual suspects, get fit, save money, progress my blog further but my main goal is to focus on my new job that I start in a few weeks. It’s the first step of many on my way into my dream of writing for a living.
I already have some incredible things planned in the diary for this year which I cant wait to share with you all and I feel truly blessed that things like this are happening to me. Finding my feet with Sherry Scribbles was my best decision of 2015 and I am glad I went in head first. Its crazy to think what id be doing had I not took the plunge and dived into blogging.
I guess this leaves me with nothing more to say other than a big huge thank you to all my wonderful followers and subscribers for supporting me and reading my scribbles. Here’s to 2016 and I hope its a super sparkly one with great things for all of us.
Ill be celebrating my 1 year anniversary of Sherry Scribbles next month so watch out and make sure you are following for a special giveaway!
